“支持美国人的生活方式”辩论稿[英文]

1、Everything has two sides, as well as American lifestyle. There are both positive and negative aspects of American lifestyle. But should we totally repudiate their lifestyle in spite of something worthwhile to learn?

2、The deputy prime minister has said that American lifestyle is not suitable for Chinese basic national conditions. But how can we explain the harmonious phenomenon after some kinds of particular American lifestyle being adopted by Chinese citizen? We can find that many features of American lifestyle are appreciated by our citizen.

3、China has a history of 5000 years, traditional culture has had deepen to our bone marrow. So it is not easy to weaken our traditional culture; also, to develop our traditional culture, we need to adopt some new logos like positive American lifestyle to it. And by this process, traditional culture has the chance of creating and developing.

We think that American lifestyle should not be resisted. As my partner has illustrated, I will explain our standpoint from two aspects:

1、it is impossible to resist American lifestyle. For one thing, with the development of globalization and the reform and opening-up of China, lots of new things and ideas are pouring into our country, of course, American lifestyle are also included during this process. Therefore, Chinese people’s life would be inevitably influenced by it. For another, with the fast development of social media and corporation in various areas of two countries,

we have more chances to contact and know about American people’s life. We are in a developing country, we admire the lifestyle of a developed country. So, we begin to intimate their lifestyle. People appreciate their lifestyle, this is why it is not easy to resist American lifestyle .

2、There are many positive aspects of American lifestyle, which are worthwhile for us to adopt. I will illustrate from the following features of American lifestyle：

First, as we all know, American people have strong legal sense. They have truly applied the law to their daily life, which can not only protect their civil rights efficiently, but is beneficial to guarantee the normal running of the government. Moreover, based on these two foundations, the whole society could develop steadily. But this is exactly what Chinese people lack, we are lazy to the legal proceeding, we think it is unnecessary to apply the small conflicts into lawsuit. Therefore, we should set American people as a good example and learn from them.

Second,American people are active to the political participation.They are enthusiastic at voting in an election,care so much about which party is winning in the round.They take close eyes on the government behavior, which exert great pressure to the government.Because of this,the democracy of American has made a great improvement .As for China,we lack enthusiasim at politics,we just ignore the relationship between politics and our individual life,which is definitely not good for the development of democracy.

Third,American people think highly of human rights.They think that freedom and equaility are so important that nothing could exchange with it.This kind of sense guarantees they have more individual life space and strengthen their sense of happiness.

Besides these features,there are many other positive aspecs of American lifestyle:

Fast food culture makes life more convenient and efficient

Sense of independence is good for children’s growth and future development

Open-minded makes them adapt new things easily and is helpful fo them to enjoy a colorful life.

Emphasize body health.they advocate healthy deit and willing to spend time dong sports.
